Using cold water is useful for maintaining body temperature. Bathing Cold water for 5 to 10 minutes is sufficient to reduce body temperature by several degrees.

  Cold water bathing improves the balance of pituitary hormones, such as adrenocorticotropic hormone, endorphin beta, and cortisol. It also increases the secretion of serotonin, which is the hormone of happiness and well-being produced by the brain, and this helps in solving fertility problems and chronic fatigue syndrome.
